Self-Improvement Tip: Trust The Process
I came across this quote and I had to laugh out loud when I read it and the accompanying passage because it was so relevant to me.
I am working on a project that involves details – my weakness! I am good at seeing the big picture and highlighting the steps that are needed to get it done. However, implementing minute details frustrate me a lot. Hence, just a few minutes earlier, I was thinking, if I could eliminate some of the steps, I could complete this project sooner.
You may be wondering what all this, including eating an elephant have to do with self-improvement, trusting the process, etc.?Well, everything has a beginning, middle and an end. No matter what the situation, we cannot get to the end without the other two. In positive situations we become excited and rush through the steps, missing one or two (sound familiar), because we want to see the outcome. In unpleasant situations, we rush through because we want it to end quickly. Despite the situation, positive or negative, we have to go through a PROCESS and TRUST IT!
This is important not only to projects but definitely relevant as regards to how we live our lives also. If we are going through life in a rush to get from point A to Z, there are so many letters that we may miss along the way. All of which – together, makes up the alphabet. Slowing down and moving step by step has many benefits. Some of which are:
